Ceramic Hair Relaxing?

I have short course hair which i used relaxers but its destroying it. I am thinking of a ceramic hair Maxius Hairglide. First, can this work on very short hair? if so, does it make the hair stand out straight or fall. Any opinions on this product or is there a better choice? Thank youCeramic Hair Relaxing?
its hard to say without actually seeing your hair but if you deep condition at least once a week and use some kinda heat resisting gloss your hair should look more natural and healthy!!

Best ceramic hair straightener? ?

I'm looking for a really good ceramic hair straightener that doesn't damage my hair from the heat. I have short to medium hair length and i dont want a too heavy straightener. I'm stuck between the Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron and the Chi Orginial Iron. thanks so much! :)Best ceramic hair straightener? ?
omg chi's are awesome

i %26lt;3 my chi

i hav had it for 3 years still works the same

even tho they are expensive they are worth it

try to fine one on ebay (much cheaper)Best ceramic hair straightener? ?
Conair infiniti is amazing!
Check out http://www.topstraighteningiron.com. The site has some great information about the best hair straighteners and where you can find them at the lowest price.
from personal experience with the CHI, the wire broke twice so I decided to go with a Sedu flat iron which worked even better than CHI.

I suggest either getting Sedu or Solia (I've heard alot of great comments about that flat iron)

hope i helped :)

ohh I almost forgottt! haha Sedu is also known as the ';lightfeather flat iron'; or something like that. Chi flat iron was seriously 2 times heavier than Sedu.
I would say a chi irons its worth every last penny.
omg GHD is the best. ever.

Ceramic hair straightener?

do ceramic hair straighteners damage the hair? is it any different compared to the other metal plates? and what happens if i use it everyday just on my fringe? i put loads of moisturizer on it though.Ceramic hair straightener?
ceramic straighteners are better for your hair than regular metal ones... the ceramic keeps an even heat all the way through, and won't scorch and burn in some places. chi makes the best ceramic straighteners, but they can be pricey (however, you'll be getting your money's worth) also, you'll want to get the ones with the smaller plates (about 1'; wide.) the large plates take longer to heat up, and don't get your hair as straight on the first pass through it.

make sure your hair is fully and totally dry before straightening it though. if the moisturizer that you use on your fringe has water in it, it's possible that it could boil your hair all the way to the core.Ceramic hair straightener?
there atre new straighteners with tourmaline plates, these are much better for you hair also try not 2 use it everyday but if must then make sure u use a deep conditioner and a heat protection styler

hope this helps

use ceramic hair straightner or it will damage your hair . moisterizer wont help you need thermal protection spray for your hair

Do ceramic hair straightners damage your hair??

Any kind of intensive heat like that can damage your hair. Although ceramic ones are better then the non ceramic ones, not only are they better for the hair, they work better too. Don't trust the ';wet to dry'; hair straighteners, they can FRY your hair.Do ceramic hair straightners damage your hair??
Wilfred, anything you do to your hair does some amount of damage, but the ceramic flat irons, do less than the other flat irons. The only one I can vouch for is The True Ceramic Pro %26lt;officialseeontv.com%26gt;. Some people like the Chi brand, but I have no personal experience with it. They are expensive, but if you want to use a flat iron more than a few times, it's worth it to get one you can count on. If you only want to do it a few times, have it done for you. That will be cheaper for you, overall.Do ceramic hair straightners damage your hair??
No, only if you straighten your hair too often and a on a heat that is too hot for your hair texture.
i just bought a ceramic hair straightner and it hasnt damaged my hair so u should be fine
like YEAH!
ALL hair straighteners will damage your hair to a point but ceramic straighteners are the best out of any of the options. They produce heat evenly and wont pull or burn the hair.
all heating elements damage your hair.. but ceramic is the least of the damaging for heating products. However, you can do some things to help with the damage like :

let your hair air dry

use a good moisturizing conditioner

put on a heat protector spray or hair serum before heat styleing

make sure your hair is COMPLETLY dry because it can kind of ';boil'; your hair if you try to straighten/ curl hair if it is damp (so dont use the ';wet to straight'; flat irons)

make sure you only use the heat temp you need... try it on a low setting and slowly work your way up till you get a good setting for your hair

dont sraighten your hair all the time...
Ceramic straightners will only damage your hair if you use them continuously. Straighting your hair everyday will damage it. However every now and then should be fine :)
no only if u have it tooo hot for your hair texture. it should be all the way up only if u have corse african american hair

I Have a ceramic hair presser(iron) .Which cream shud b applied?

  • Are hot combs better than ceramic hair straightners??

i dont even know if they still sell hot combsAre hot combs better than ceramic hair straightners??
Ok, yeah.. they still sell hot combs. But they arent used as often because of the amount of damage they do to hair. with ceramic hair straightners, the heat is defused over a larger surface area, giving a more indirect and spreadout heating... as the hot comb has to get almost red hot and pulled slowly. This slow motion can scortch hair very easily, sucks out a lot of much needed moisture, and kinda leaves the hair a bit brittle. To fix these little damages, wicked amounts of oil and grease are usually applied... leaving the hair oily/greasy and heavy!

With flat irons, the less abrasive heat causes less damage, a less significant amout of oil is needed (if any at all), and the hair is left softer and much more natural looking. Are hot combs better than ceramic hair straightners??
Hot combs are for black people because we generally have thicker hair
yes they do still sell hot comb in all sizes but ceramic iron are must better because they leave your hair light and bouncey where as hot combs weight the hair down also you don't need oil when using cermic like you do with a hot comb if you try it you'll love it
Hair staightners because its the straight way to go haha.

    Best ceramic hair straightener?

My hair's pretty difficult to straighten. It's not curly, but just pretty resistant. Can anyone recommend a very good ceramic hair straightener, or any hair straightener for that matter, that leaves your hair straight longer than 10 minutes?

    Thanks. =)Best ceramic hair straightener?
chi is overrated. it's seriously nothing special when compared to other top-of-the-line straighteners %26amp; they are known to break down (that's why their warranty is only 6 months vs other brands which have at least 1 year). i think the reason why people are so crazy about it is because they use the cheapo ones from walmart or sumthin %26amp; then switch to chi from all the hype %26amp; of course they're gonna think it's some godly product.

    hai is really really good.

I LOVE MY CORIOLISS....I have mixed hair...so its pretty thick, and I can straighten super fast with leaving it straight shiny and smooth usually doing a once over!

    I paid 40.00 on ebay!
I LOVE my CHI. It is quite the splurge but it is amazing!
remmington wet to straight, it works wonders on difficult hair, my friend has supper thick long ringlet curly hair and i got it straight for her in 20 minutes
I love my CHI ceramic flat iron. It was $120 but its totally worth it.

I have thick wavy hair that gets fried easily but this keeps it shiny and healthy too.

Ceramic Hair Straightners on Damp Hair?

Just wondering if you can use ceramic hair straightners on damp hair, thanksCeramic Hair Straightners on Damp Hair?
No, except if it's a wet to dry flat iron (and even if it is you must use with caution).Using a flat iron even if it's ceramic on wet hair can cause un-repairable damage or scorching to your hair.Water boils at 100 掳C. If a hot flat iron is put on to wet hair, it boils the water inside the hair. The boiling water softens the keratin of the cortex; then the steam from the boiling water expands and forms tiny bubbles inside the hair. Eventually the hair breaks off, either at or somewhere near a bubble. This is called bubble hair. And it looks like this:

http://www.pg.com/science/haircare/hair_/a>Ceramic Hair Straightners on Damp Hair?
No no no no no. That is a bad plan. The heat from the straightener can permanently damage your hair when its wet (it fries it really badly). If you want to straighten your hair while it's wet it's best to get a flat iron made for that purpose (one called ';wet to straight'; works really well and protects your hair from damage). Otherwise you should always dry your hair before straightening it. This will also keep the straightener working better, longer.
No, It's not a great idea, in the short term it can damage your hair and make it frizzy but long term, it will damage the straighteners. You be better to just invest in a good hair dryer that will dry your hair quicker. Or you can get 2 in 1 hair dryers and straighteners which might help.
It's best to dry your hair first, then use a serum to straighten it to avoid any serious damage. However, there are some straighteners that are for damp hair. I've never used them, though, so I don't know how effective they are.

    Ceramic hair straightener?

So I've been looking around for a while and price is not an issue for me. So, I wanted to get a ceramic hair straightener and wanted some advice as to which one to get and to what kind of products I should use. I would prefer it if the straightener had temp control and was non-damaging. If you need to know my hair is not color treated, its naturally red and is wavy, but incredibly thick. I've been use this very cheap plastic one but it hardly works and is damaging my hair so terribly.Ceramic hair straightener?
The original CHI is a good straightener. It doesn't have heat adjustment (there is a CHI straightener that does, though), but the heat it automatically goes to is perfect. Oh and I know you said price isn't an issue, but you can save about 40 bucks on it if you buy it from BJ's or some other wholesale club like that.

Oh, and as far as products go, get a protective spray to use before you straighten your hair (brand doesn't really matter. I use CHI, but I'm not completely impressed). I also love (and I mean love) Nexxus leave-in conditioning spray. It smells great and leaves you hair silky and incredibly shiny after it dries (you use it on damp, towel-dried hair).Ceramic hair straightener?
I've been using a ceramic straightener called the Sedu- it's the best straightener I've ever owned. Unlike Chi's- you can control the actual temperature (which was the deal breaker with me) and it gets rid of static and frizz. I use it a lot and my hair is not damaged. I used it on my friend's super curly hair (which is also red and thick.....) and her hair was straightened very well.
well well!!! umm...i have the CHI Ceramic Flat Iron!!

it hasnt damaged my hair yet and it leaves my hair really silky smooth!! :D i got it from this beauty salon!! it was like 60 bucks :)

for products i use either the thermal spray (CHI)

    glistening drops (Garnier)

OR!! this srum for color treated hair!!

i need this stuff cause my hair is dyed but all you can use

is the drops or the thermal spray!! BEFORE YOU STRAIGHTEN lol

My conair ceramic hair iron accidentally got wet.. Now, even if i turn it on for 45 minutes, it wont emit heat anymore. What's wrong and how can i fix it???

thanx! My Ceramic hair iron got wet.. it wont work anymore.. any suggestions?
Dear either opt for a new one or else check from where you bought it about guarantee. Or else put in the sun or somewhere hot to dry.

My mobile phone was also wet, put it in the sun and magically it worked !!!My Ceramic hair iron got wet.. it wont work anymore.. any suggestions?
exchange it for a new one...if u got it at a salon, or sally's, then it should be no problem to exchange....

if u got it at walmart or something ....u can stilll try to exchange but it might be more difficult....as along as u still have the receipt...if not....then uh learn to never throw away receipts for expensive hair straightners...lol

or u could send it bak to the company....%26amp; hope for reinburstment...
buy a new one..genious right? i though so.
take it apart and put it back together again
Yeah go it is called a short and go buy a new one
let is dry real good for a few days and then give it a go.

I put my keyboard in the shower to clean it and let it dry for a few days and it works fine.

    Feather
Leave it alone %26amp; let it dry out for a week. It may work after all the internal connections have dried out.
If it got wet while it was on then your unit has a very high probability that it is deffective. If it got wet while it was unplugged, dry the unit very well under the sun for a day or use a hair dryer and blow hot air for 10 minutes. Letg it cool down and try it again.

  • What's better, ion or ceramic hair hair dryers? and why?

Ion hair dryers make your hair shiny, softer and healthier looking. There haven't been enough scientific studies to find out why.

Will a ceramic hair straightener still burn my hair?

will a ceramic hair straightener still burn my hair ?

my hair is very dry as it is.

please help me get back the softness that i once hadWill a ceramic hair straightener still burn my hair?
miss kay its tuff to retrieve the softness when you make it straight every few days try deep conditioning treatments go to sallys you will get great product for a reasonable price and use it faithfully hopefully that straight trend wont last long our teens hair is all in terrible shape goodluck hunny hair designer hereWill a ceramic hair straightener still burn my hair?
Yes it could if the temp is too high.
my a certain product. no starightenr will burn your hair but it will damage ur hair with frizz
yes. its applying direct heat to your hair and frying the crap out of it. just blow dry it straight. you dont need to use a straightener.
no, it won't because that's what they are invented for
One word. Condition. You need to get products such as Herbal Essence's Hello Hydration line or Sunsilk's Hydra TLC. Sunsilk Hydra TLC is made in a deep conditioning masque that you can use every day if needed. Also, you need to protect your hair while straightening it so use a flat iron spray such as Herbal Essence's Dangerously Straight Flat Iron Spray or VO5's Miracle! spray. Good luck.
Anything that is heat is going to burn your hair, make sure you protect your hair with moisterizers like conditioner. Also try using a hot oil treatment and a heat protectorant for heat styling.
Ceramic can still burn your hair don't turn it up full blast unless you have ticker ethnic hair.I suggest using a heat protection cream (like L'oreal ';Hot Straight';) %26amp; also use a deep conditioner 2-3 times a week. Let your hair air dry before straightening, don't blow dry right before, that's how I do it :)
It will dry it out and frizz the ends if you use it daily.
it doesn't burn my hair, but i use a protectant spray to protect it from heat damage. i like paul mitchell heat spray, but most store brands have something similar
ceraminc will burn your hair a little but you can used a protection spary before using the straightener. I personally use sleek.look b by matrix and it works for me. Good luck!!!!
A ceramic straightener should not burn your hair. But dont straighten your hair if it is still wet and also i would suggest getting a Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. There are also product for after you straighten you hair to lessen the damage done. All straighteners will over time hurt your hair a ceramic one is the best choice and if you take care of your hair well then it should never happen......... you could also take breaks from striaghtening your hair so it has a chance to revive another thing is to wash your hair in cold water whic would make in shinier

Ceramic hair straighteners vs. curling irons?

wouldnt you basically get the same results on your hair using a curling iron that you would uing a ceramic hair straightenerCeramic hair straighteners vs. curling irons?
    Basically same results.

Straighteners are still worse though because you completely surround the hair on the top and bottom and clamp down on it.

But some ceramic hair straighteners do both curling and straightening.Ceramic hair straighteners vs. curling irons?
i personally dont think so, unless u use one of the curlers that professionals use
    yes - from a cosmetologist

I have a hot tools ceramic hair straightner but...........??

I have had it for a year and a half is it still good?? The ends of my hair are pretty burnt and I do use a heat protectant once in a while. it will only make my hair straight if I have it on a high setting like seven (the setting only goes from 1 to 10). any suggestions so my hair won't get as damaged?? and will stay straight?? I have frizzy hair with a little but of curl in some spots. what should I do??I have a hot tools ceramic hair straightner but...........??
I use a straightener every day...but you have to make sure to use one that doesnt ruin your hair. You said that your hair is burnt at the bottom; get a new straightener and get Pantene Pro-V protection spray ($9 at drug stores.) Also if you take my advise and get a new straightener, get the CHI straightener (the one inch works best!)...even though it is expensive ($140USD), it works for about 3 years. Also it doesnt ruin your hair! It makes your hair shiny and B-E-A-U-tiful! Also get new shampoo and conditioner...Pantene Pro-V and Herbal Essence are your best bet! If you want more volume, get the volume kind or Pantene Pro-V or the new Herbal Essence...If you want to get rid of frizz, (i use this) get the Herbal Essence called ';none of your frizziness';. Also for frizz control i use Frizz-ease...THIS REALLY WORKS!!I have a hot tools ceramic hair straightner but...........??
Straiten your hair every 4 hours!!!
I would suggest throwing out your Hot Tools flat iron, getting your ends trimmed, doing a deep conditioning treatment and if you must straighten your hair, splurge on a higher-end flat iron like a Chi. The better the product, the less likely it is to burn your hair.

If it's burning the ends of your hair don't use it anymore, it's damaging it and you can't repair that without cutting it!
I use a Vidal Sasoon straightener that was very inexpensive and works Great. You can get them at any major store. Anyway I used the same one for over a year and it still worked the same. It has a very high setting but I have never burned my hair before. I would suggest using that straightener (it's black on the outside and has wide gold hotplates) the ceramic ones are supposed to be better for your hair but in my experience they aren't at all and they don't work as good. It could be that you have had it for a long time but my straightener hasn't worn out like that. Also I would talk to your local beauty parlor (even a great clips) and ask them about heat protector and getting regular hair trims to help with damaged or split ends. Surprisingly the more often you trim your hair the faster it grows and you can use certain daily products like Thermasilk that is heat activated and/or Garnie Fructice long and strong to help with damage. I like using Garnie but your hair gets sort of immune to any shampoo and conditioner. I got a bottle of shampoo from my local great clips for like $12 and I use it once a week (it lasts forever) it cleans out everything from your hair including your shampoo's effects and then when you use your shampoo and conditioner it feels like you're using it for the first time. This is a pretty lengthy answer. Main Point: switch to the vidal sasoon straightener and keep using products that protect your hair.
don't Iron your hair while its wet for one thing. use a heat protector every time. My hair is really thick and I have to make sure I'm doing little sections at once. condition often. and use a defrizzer like frizzease. You could also use a round brush and hair dryer like they do in the salon but that takes a while
You need a really good deep-conditioner. Also, your straightener won't ';go bad';, my straightener gets to 500degrees, so I'm sure yours is fine. Make sure you're using a good thermal heat protectant (I use CHI and it smells awesome!). Also, make sure you're not leaving the straightener on the ends very long. Straighten most of the hair shaft and lightly cover the ends of the hair to straighten, but don't mess with them too much. It'd be best if you cut the super-dry ends that may very well be damaged. If they're damaged they're going to wreck the rest of your hair, so cut them off and you'll immediately notice a huge difference, even if you want your hair to be long. Your hair will look better without the bad ends and will grow better without the dead ends breaking up the rest of your hair. Good Luck!

P.S.- If you don't think your straightener is good for your hair, get a new one. I personally use a CHI iron, which retails for around $100, which is steep, but it's got a 1yr. guarantee and it's phenomenal, especially since I use it daily on myself and my clients. (I'm a hair stylist) Good Luck!

You can buy all of these online.Which one is best ceramic hair streightner??
Almost everyone is gonna answer ';Chi';. But these ceramic straighteners are nothing but paying $200 bucks for a name brand. I've been faithful to my ceramic J'ebere, that I get at Sallys for about $40-50. My sister has a Chi and I've used both. The J'ebere just works so much better and leaves my hair feeling super smooth, which the Chi does not do. And plus the Chi is only like an inch wide! It takes freakin forever to do your whole head. And plus 200 bucks? C'mon. Get yourself the J'eber which works just as good, or even better in my opinion.
';plugged in'; you can get it at sally's beauty supply. it goes up to 420 degrees. i think the warranty is 5 years. its a really really good straightener. its about $25-$30. its kinda cool looking too. hot pink with rhinestones

Ceramic hair flat iron vs non-ceramic: what's the difference.?

...Ceramic hair flat iron vs non-ceramic: what's the difference.?
Ceramic is the new technology. All hair stylist prefer it as it gives better results and makes the hair look shinier. It is also said to cause less damage to the hair because it distributes heat across the hair evenly instead of the heat being concentrated on one area. But of course that doesn't mean it won't cause any damage. But the damage might be less.Ceramic hair flat iron vs non-ceramic: what's the difference.?
ceramic helps keep the moisture out. ceramic are the best straigteners. my mum's a hairdresser and always recommends ceramics, especially GHD's.

Ceramic flat irons do not damage your hair. non-ceramic really hurt your hair.

Even with a ceramic one you should use heat protectant spray or just shine serum such as ';kenra shine serum, weightless polish';.
ceramic makes your hair shiny and nice and doesn't burn your hair and non makes it burn and it doesn't look as good
    ceramics work a lot better!

I have waist length wavy hair. I'm using the most recommended chi ceramic hair straightener.?

My hair remains straight for a couple of hours %26amp; then gets wavy again. I've seen people having so sleek hair after straightening. Should I be using some kind of straightening serum or cream prior to straightening with iron? Can u guys recommend something that helps to keep the hair straight %26amp; sleek for a whole day? Thanks.I have waist length wavy hair. I'm using the most recommended chi ceramic hair straightener.?
I think that you're probably not straightning it right, because when I do it, it lasts at least 3 days, I have curly hair! Just make sure you separate your hair, and straighten it one inch at a time. Use any straightning serum!I have waist length wavy hair. I'm using the most recommended chi ceramic hair straightener.?
I have very coarse, thick, wavy hair and I too was frusrated with humidity and all the products out there that claimed to work but didn't. Then I found ';Maxiglide'; which has changed the way my hair looks for the better. Maxiglide is a hairstraightner that uses little combs and steam to make your hair look beautiful and shiny. It keeps your hair straight all day and I don't even use any hair products to help. You can get it on the internet, just search under Maxiglide by maxius several websites sell it. It worked GREAT for me and I hope it does the same for you.
maybe turn up the heat setting?
if you live somewhere wet or humid, you're hair is gonna go back to the way it was eventually by the end of the day.

but using any serum, or any product will REALLY make the straight-ness stick.

put up the full heat on your iron tho. and do it more than once, to each strip/section to get it bone straight and for it to stay.

I have a Conair Wet & Dry Ceramic Hair Straighning Iron.....?

It's a professional, is it supposed to steam when I straighten My hair?I have a Conair Wet %26amp; Dry Ceramic Hair Straighning Iron.....?
    Hey;

It should have a light thing that tells you when it's ready, but if it doesn't, wait 30 seconds.

Mine steams too, so I wait until my hair is fully dry. It won't do a very good job when its wet anyways, it leaves the hair worse. If its steaming you're burning your hair. Also, I recommend you use a cream that prevents your hair from burning. They're really cheap, most are less than 4 bucks! And remember to iron your hair when its dry.

Good luck鈾?]I have a Conair Wet %26amp; Dry Ceramic Hair Straighning Iron.....?
i don't think it's supposed to STEAM. If it's steaming, then that probably means you're BURNING your hair, cause the straightener is at such a high temperature. You should also never straighten your hair when it's wet, that eventually leads to more damage.
If you still have the instructions that came in the box, there might be an 800 number for you to call.
i have the same. only when your hairs wet

Is it really worth it to spend a lot of money on a 100% ceramic hair staightner or will a cheaper one do ?

well... you do get what you pay for..

Good luck!Is it really worth it to spend a lot of money on a 100% ceramic hair staightner or will a cheaper one do ?
Well, as you may have heard...there is a expensive straightner called ';ghd'; which cost about 拢90. Thats really not worth it! My pair of straightners cost only 拢10 and they straighten ALL hair types. Look around before you start buying expensive hair products...you might find a cheaper one which is as good!Is it really worth it to spend a lot of money on a 100% ceramic hair staightner or will a cheaper one do ?
with hair products I have found that you definitely get what you pay for. That is my one addiction, and trust me on this. I wouldn't go with the cheaper one because you do get what you pay for.
umm i'd get the mmore expensive on it's going to do a better job i have a conair and now i want a FHI!!! really bad!!!!
I've had a cheaper one for a while and it has been very good so far, I think that as long as you have a good heat protector it's ok.
    it's worth the cost!
Try a $12 one and see for yourself. If the cheaper one works fine, then you have saved yourself eighty bucks.
The cheap ones will do the job...but the ceramic ones are amazing!!!!
It is absolutely worth it. The cheap ones never got my hair really straight and I would have to use it everyday. With the ceramic one I have it gets much hotter, it doesn't burn your hair, it's faster than the cheap ones and I can go a few days without using it and my hair still looks great.

    Ceramic Hair Straighteners?

do you know of a ceramic hair straightener with long-lasting results and works very well? which hair straighener do you use?Ceramic Hair Straighteners?
Babyliss, Silver Bullets and GHDs are all really great, effective brands.Ceramic Hair Straighteners?
Yes the ceramic straighteners work great! For longer hair make sure you get the one with the wider ceramic plates. I have long naturally curly hair down to my mid-low back. It takes me about an hour to straighten my hair (as long as I wash %26amp; air dry it the night before). But it lasts a good 3 days for me but that's also as long as I can stand withoutI washing my hair. I'm sure it actually lasts longer...
I myself use GHD's there excellent and can be used not only to straighten hair but also to give it a curl too. Expensive but effective xx
    Remington?
I use a Revlon Ceramic iron - Affordable and does its job great - I always use a shine spray along with it too. I have thick curly hair.

i was going to pay over $100 for a chi 1'; then went to

HI- just looked @ the ebay store, it's clld ';beautysupplyrus'; %26amp; the iron is ';pro chloche tourmaline';, i also use chi pre-iron solution (%26amp; some other pre-iron products). if you take your time w/ 1'; areas, works great. good luckWhat is the best 1'; ceramic hair straightener that is under $30?
honestly, you aren't going to find anything decent for under 30. I have a paul brown iron and when I bought it, it was nearly $300.00.What is the best 1'; ceramic hair straightener that is under $30?
you get what you pay for. Chances are really great that you are going to tare your hair up. I would save and invest in a Chi. They are around $100, but they are wonderful.
I'm not sure if it is under $30, but I like the Remington Wet to Straight. It works really well.

although with a limit of $30 your choice is gonna be very limited - straighters are expensive!
i use the conair ceramic one...it works great on my hair and my hair is natural
I like the Revlon ones, they're inexpensive. Try looking at CVS. That's where I found a lot!
At the mall I bought a Corioless ceramic straighter for about $100 bucks. I love it, it works great. I recommended it to my friend and she bought it on Ebay brand new for $40 bucks. Its the same and works great. At the mall they try to sell you the pink or purple model for about $30 buck more, and on ebay the pink and purple model is also a little more expensive, that a rip off, the only difference is the color.I bought the regular black one, so did my friend. Good luck!
Remington wet 2 straight. Its good for all hair types and actually works. You can use it with wet or dry hair it does drying and straightening at once. I bought mine at wal-mart for under 30 dollars when it first came out. Its just about 30 dollars now I think.
vidal sasoon i got mine for like $20 and it does a good job .... you can get it at target
I know of no one who has ceramic hair.
I have never seen an authentic ceramic iron THAT CHEAP... !!!

Let me know when you find it...!!!!
I personally use a 1'; REMINGTON Wet 2 Straight Ceramic Straightener. They range is price from $28 - $32 and can be purchased at Wal-Mart, other stores or online. You can use to dry and straighten your hair at once because of it's steam vents, or place it on a lower heat setting to use on dry hair.
    They are all the same.

Cheapest(and I mean cheapest) ceramic hair straightener?

My hair is not thin nor thick so it doesnt take but 1 swipe of the straightener to do it...so its not like its gonna damage my hair

and where can I get it (walmart, cvs, rite aid, kmart are all near by..)Cheapest(and I mean cheapest) ceramic hair straightener?
A 20$ dollar one at target or walmart

or a used one on ebayCheapest(and I mean cheapest) ceramic hair straightener?
Trust me DON';T buy a cheap one! Ask any hair stylist or ANYONE with experience who has tried both. You CAN';T find a cheap one (or a drugstore one from one of the places you mentioned) that actually works. They don't get hot enough!!! It will be a complete waste of money! You should save for a brand name one from a salon! (They actually work!) Plus, they last longer and are healthier for your hair!

I can't express how IMPORTANT that is! Cheap ones DON';T WORK!!!
well at walmart they have them. its by conair and it is $13. i have thick hair and it worked fine for me. :)
wal-mart the con-air one is only $13 or $14. i personally don't need a straightner but several of my friends have this one and they love it.
    walmart
Please don't buy a cheap straightener, I did and it fried my hair, you WILL ruin your hair.
wally world has all your solutions

Will a ceramic hair straightener still burn my hair?

will a ceramic hair straighener still burn my hair? Will a ceramic hair straightener still burn my hair?
yesWill a ceramic hair straightener still burn my hair?
Its not good for you hair but its better then using a regular flat iron. Use a product to protect your hair and it wont be so harsh.
Any straightener is bad for the hair but ceramic ones seem to be the best ones when doing so. Although it is better to use a ceramic one in terms of straightening, the hair will still suffer damage no matter what.
How long are you holding it on there- it does dry out your hair and lead to damage over time but as for actually burning your hair as long as you are using it properly it won't.
only if u leave it on for too long.....they work great in my hair when i want it straight...makes it smoother and actually softer/healthier feeling then a regular straightener...
it will but it is a lot better for your hair. The best kind that I found was a Chi. It is expensive but it won't destroy your hair. I am dependant on it. There is product that you can put on your hair prior to using the flat iron that protects it too.

    Good luck!!
If you leave it in too long, yes.
If it's up too high for your hair, if you still have moisture in your hair from the shower, if you have fine hair and you have bleached it, if you don't put a product to help protect your hair from the heat, or if you leave it on the same spot for too long, yes it will.
it can if the heat is up too high. to test it take a kleenex and put it between the straightener, if the paper turns yellow its too hot!
i have used a ceramic one now for over 2 yrs and it has never burned my hair but always make it silky and shiny. Plus, they make a spray to use when you use straighteners that helps protect your hair. I use Thermasilk protector.
If your hair is already treated, ie- permed, dyed, bleached, relaxed, etc., then yes, it very well could. You should use it on a low heat setting, leave it on your hair for only a second or two, and not use it every day if you want to prevent damage.

What would u rate chi ceramic hair straightners? 1-5 (5 is best) what r the probelems wit them if any?

5 I had a limted edition pink chi!

It broke after only 1 year of having it! BUT my hair is thick so when I did straighten i had to keep it on for about 5 mins.

It was super easy to straighten my hair when i went from a conair to a chi it was so cool!

the chi didnt hurt my head it didnt pull at my hair!

I love the chi! Im getting a either hot pink one or blue one for xmas! I LOVE CHI!

Make sure t buy CHI heat protectant for your hair though.

ALL IN ALL i really like the chi or else i wouldnt go back to it after it broke only used 1 year

but my dad toke apart the chi to see something was damaged inside of it from just using it so often so yea! What would u rate chi ceramic hair straightners? 1-5 (5 is best) what r the probelems wit them if any?
They work really good! Yes, the warranty only lasts a year but if you use it the proper way, and don't do anything with it that would somehow cause it to break, then it should last a lot longer than a year. I've had mine almost a year, and it still works. My friends have had some for 2, to 5, to even 8 years. They are amazing straightners and are DEF. worth the higher price(: I'm sure you could get an extended warranty on the straightener, however I don't think that's needed(:What would u rate chi ceramic hair straightners? 1-5 (5 is best) what r the probelems wit them if any?
    i would give them a 3.

only because they work really good for a year, but the swivle cord is designed to break after a year. (the warranty ends after one year.) i really think that thier product has become cheap. you can go to walmart and get a straightener that lasts way longer and works just as well for only $40 to $50
4.95 lol and the reason is, is because they're GREAT but if you use a straightner 24/7 like i do then it will dry out your hair because the heat is SO high powered even though you may not notice it, but overall i think they work VERY well.:)

  • Capelli bei ceramic hair straightener?

Has anyone tried this brand? Is it good? Would you recommend it? I'm not sure if I should get it or not. I saw it on ebay.Capelli bei ceramic hair straightener?
I have not tried this brand however...

    1. I know that ceramic straighteners are damiging to hair

    look for tourmaline straighteners instead

    2. Ebay is not a very trust worthy place to buy from

go to a salon or beauty supply store there will be a great variety to choose fromCapelli bei ceramic hair straightener?
if it is a chemical straightener it could ruin ur hair but if not it will probably work or just sk a hairdresser or stylist about it
CHI's do not last long. They break way too easily. Don't waste your money, and don't listen to the one's that are telling you it's the best. Sedu is one of the best straighteners out there and it is only $100.

To purcase a Sedu at the cheapest price, go to Folica.com , scroll to the very top and click on Hair Styling. On the left hand side, there will be and A - Z brand list. Find Sedu, click on it, and everything else from there is self - explanitory.

    Or follow this link:

For more information on a Sedu, you can go to sedubeauty.com.

    Curling with a Sedu:

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=k57daS_c_yI

I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.

It reaches 410 degrees, with tempature control. CHI does not have tempature control. That means if the set tempature is too high for your hair, it can fry.

Celebrities have nice hair, and they don't use CHI. They use Sedu. There is something called Sedu hairstyles on every beauty website. No CHI hairstyles right?

Also, on Folica.com, people can post reviews on products after they have tried them. Here are they stats on CHI:

63 people say it is 1 star (bad) out of out of 1174 total reviews.

    Sedu:

20 people say it is 1 star (bad) out of 3724 total reviews.

    That speaks for itself.

    Product details:

i havnt use the straighteners...can anyone also teme the diff b/w ionic and ceramic hair straighteners

Has anyone have any feedback on the CHILL&HOT CERAMIC HAIR strightener?

I have a ceramic one at home. Its very effective for thick hair than thin strands. You still have to buy a hair protector spray to keep the strands from getting deeply damaged. I use this on special occasions. If you are planning to use this to your hair everyday make sure you moisturize it well and spray some liquid conditioner.

OMG I love my CHI..Conair sucks and so does Vidal Sasson straightener and this other straigtener crap my sister has. Trust me stick with the CHI.....
i love my iron, i use it everyday, i did have a vidal sassoon, but it was metal and it messed my hair up, so i went to sallys hair salon and i bought the ceramic series by helen of troy, and it works great. It has the tempture gadge thing where you can set it, gets hot really fast so u dont have to wait, and you have a choice if you want a wide one or smaller. And for the shiny part, i always put leave in conditiner when i get out of the shower and right before i straighten my hair i always put some herbal essencen flat iron spray, theirs all kinds of products you can get like that, and also every weekend i mix mayo, and egg whites and put it in my hair for 15 min. and wash it out, i know this sounds really weird but it helps alot because it give you all the nutrition you need in your hair and you have to have that for your hair to be shinny and soft. i hope this helps good luck
Use GHD straightners this will make ur hair look shiny n soft n straightne it properly. I find Pantenne shampoo n conditioner the best.

A lot of ppl. may say the CHI but I have the CHI and my sister's Protouch flat iron is wayy better! You may have never head of it but it is 29.99-39.99 dollars original price (my sister got it for sale for 20 bucks) and sold at JcPenney salon. The chi doesn't get my hair stick straight but the Protouch does! And I don't have to grip harder on itt :) Plus there is temp. settings. I really recommend you to get the Protouch..!!! hehe I'm trying to get my sister to trade with me =)What is the best ceramic hair straightner?
The best one I know is infiniti nano sliver by CONAIR, the bad part is that it is 100.00 dollars, and over your budget, although it does not damage your hair, it is wide, it heats up fast (30 seconds, no joking technologyogy these days *shakes head*), it uses steam, catches stray hairs and more.

For under 85.00 you could buy BedHead rockstar stylist straightener, although it irons your hair so it will damage it.

Almost any hair straightener will work, but from paexperiencesnce, do not buy them from the price range on 13.00-29.00 dollars.
i have realllyyyy thick hair and i have tried a LOT of straighteners and my chi worked good but then it broke so i bought a conair infiniti and it works better than the chi in my opinion!! its $50 at walmart

  • Good Ceramic Hair Straightener?

I really want to straighten my hair but have no experience what so ever. I really would like to know what is a good (cheap) hair straightener brand that works? I know Conair is pretty good but I really can't spend much. $20 is probably the max I can do. Please help!Good Ceramic Hair Straightener?
GHD hair straightener. *I did see one for sale for $15 once but,

i bought mine about 7 months ago and it works great!!! i paid $170 for it but since it was awhile ago the price had to go down by now. It was created in Europe but i bought in the US

you can curl, straighten, crimp your hair with it. (with out changing the plates) its is so hard to break...(i can be slammed on the floor as hard as you want. its piratically indestructible)

it only goes up to a certain temp. so it wont burn your hair, you can use it while your hair is still damp.

they only take 15 secs. to start up. and when unplugged it cools fast too. so you never have to wait long

its is professional so it has a 9ft cord so you can take it far lol

i use it all the time and it has never let me down yet.

here is a pic of it. they also come in pink lol

If you want a hair straightener that lasts for years... your gonna have to spend more then 20 bucks.

I got mine for $40 at ULTA and its been almost four years.

    CONAIR IS CHEAP!!!

    DO NOT USE IT!

Their products burn your hair faster then you can say peanut butter!

I'd say ask your mom, but tell her that your first hair straightener would last longer AND work better.

But remember, don't burn your hair off!

Use it wisely and start of slow and steady.

    ULTA has many good choices.

Even if your hair is thick, thin, dry, or oily. It really doesn't matter because they have such a great variety you'll be very surprised.

Browse around at www.ULTA.com and find a store near you!

    I hope I helped. ;)
Revlon;s ceramics work really well. i really like mine but its about 3 years old. so its kinda hard to find. the model number is RV063 but i've searched for it and cant find it.

my mom has this one its almost as good and only $25.

    (it's the first one)

There is 2 good ways of getting a good ceramic hair straightener :)

    1) You can ask your hairdresser to get you a good one at a store were they only sell hair products to licenced hair dressers.

    2)Matrix sleek look works great!!
Umm, well a good iron for $20 i dont really think you can findd. You can try a drug pharmacy that have cheap irons but wont be that good.

    Sorry.
$20 is kinda cheap. really good ones are at least 25-35 dollars, if not more. I suggest looking for sales. I have a conair and it works wonders! Save your money and invest in one, you won't regret it :)
well i no u said $20 but CHI is amazing i LOVE mine there expensive but u can always try ebay!
good luck finding a good one for around $20

Are the solid ceramic hair irons safe for everyday use?

They are safer overall , but if you need everyday use, then please use a flat iron prep spray to protect your hair, use the lowest heat setting that will achieve your desired results, and move the iron from one section to another : don't re-iron the same piece of hair over and over again. Are the solid ceramic hair irons safe for everyday use?
No, you should never use heat on your hair everyday.

Is a ceramic hair straightener the best straightener??

my hair is not curly its just a little poofy..

and when straightened it looks straight its just has staticIs a ceramic hair straightener the best straightener??
Yes,although Tourmaline is even better. :]

I'd recommend Sedu 1'; Tourmaline flat iron.

=)Is a ceramic hair straightener the best straightener??
yeah that will help you out alot !!!but you don't have to get the ceramic one.i got one that's only $20.00 ask for a less expensive one they work just as good
    chi or sedu

i have the chi and it works great and made my dull hair shiny

but i've heard better things about the sedu
    you should go to folica.com

they have the best ceramic irons there

they even have a list of the best sellers

i would recommend you the SEDU

its the best one out there

    i looove it

dont get the CHI .. it burns your hair

    and breaks easily
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

    In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

Marshals the clothing store has some and expensive hair product for more than half the price i would go check it out i bought a ceramic straihtner for $40.00 bucks and the regular retail price was $150.oo it works good i would go and check it outI am looking for a good ceramic hair straightener for less than $200... any suggestions?
A Chi straightener will run you a bit more than that. Go for a Ceramix... works the same at a fraction of the cost. Hit up your hair stylist for suggestions of which brand would work best for your hair.
If you want a very proffesional high end straightener get a Sedu.

Chi's are good but do not offer as much ionic protection as Sedu's.
Get a chi. I got mine from ulta for i would say like150. it works like AWESOME. it takes me only 5 to 10 minutes to straighten all of my hiar. definitely recommend it.
Don't get the Chi, I just got one and in two weeks the on/off button broke. And the handle got soo hot i could barely hold it. And there's only one temperature. Get the sedu or hgi
The one I use is Conair and it is really cheap but really good. My friends have expensive ones but mine actually does better.
the sedu's are actually better than the chi. go to www.folica.com it will have reviews for all different hair appliances and stuff.
maxiglide is not ceramic but its awesome!!! its about 90.00
Chi is less than $200. I just bought one off of ebay, new in the box, for $78

Do ceramic hair straightners strip color the hair?

hi my name is philip I have had my hair dyed a plum purple my hair is curly and I plan on styling my hair with a flat iron I am concerned will a ceramic hair straightner affect the color. I would like an answer from a hair colorist thanks.Do ceramic hair straightners strip color the hair?
it wont change the color. the only thing that it will change is it will help make your color fade faster which is why its best to use a shampoo that helps to keep color from fading and to use a thermal protection spray before you flat iron. it will make the color fade because heat makes your hair cuticle open up, and when the cuticle is open more color is able to escape. you need something to help keep the cuticle closed, and washing and rinsing your hair in cool water will help slow down the fading.Do ceramic hair straightners strip color the hair?
what actually happens is your hair follicles arent being protected...I have black hair and with a week of straightening my hair is all of a sudden brown..its really annoying but its because I dont protect it...at all...sooooo I decided to get some stylist advice and she said ';yes ding bat'; your hair was raped of its color because you arent protecting your hair color or hair for that matter so you NEED to use thermal hair color protection crap...you can get it anywheres ....but best to go to a salon where they got best beauty stuff.

    good luck
I am a stylist and I have fashion orange in my hair.It will not affect the color i promise. Now over time it will fade due to shampoo etc.Don't worry. And it wont turn your hair blue.
I've never heard of that before.

Ceramic hair Straighteners are the best for your hair.

ones with metal plates ate like ironing your hair with an iron.
Yes they turn your hair blue.

Where can i find ceramic hair straighteners besides online??

please answer i really need oneWhere can i find ceramic hair straighteners besides online??
a salon or beauty store the good ones are about $100-$150. mine is a ceramic its called a ';chi'; and its skinny about an inch wide. those are better cause you can get closer to the root.Where can i find ceramic hair straighteners besides online??
    target cosco
Don't know where you are but places like T.J. Max and Sally's Beauty Supply or any Beauty Supply outlet should have them. The thing with getting them online is that a lot of the time you can get them cheaper, even with shipping than you can in a store.
    ummm anywere
Walgreens. thats where i got mine.
ULTA beauty stores and stylist/salon places, like TradeSecret. You can find lower quality, cheap ones in Wal-Mart or a drugstore, but that isn't recommended for long-term use.
JC Penny salon has them but they are $100 in the store and only $55 on ebay.
hmm maybe a salon,wal-mart,target,k-mart maybe those?
    I found mine at a salon/beauty store.
Any beauty supply store,Walmart,Sears,Etc. If your wanting a decent one though then be prepared to spend at least 50$ or more. You get what you pay for and my chi works a heck of alot better then the con air one I had. Also get one with a temperature setting so you can control how hot it gets to keep from excessive heat damage.
i bought one from the hairdresser for $40 - and department stores all have them too.

ps - dont forget to use the special conditioner to protect your hair and make sure it is totally dry before using it
u can get one at walmart or ther is always the mall they always have them
you can find them pretty much anywhere i see them all the time Lol they sell them at Target Walmart and etc at walmart they have a red conair one thats about $35 dollars :] i have one and i love it to death it works very well. its called Dry N' Straight 1 陆'; Ceramic Straightener

If u have short hair or hair to shoulder length then dont get a straightner width larger than an inch and a half

and for longer have go from 1 and a half inches to 2 and a half

    Good Luck!
NEVER EVER EVER BUY ONE FROM A DRUG STORE!uggh....omg.its cheap but it doesnt last.it burns your hair and gives you mad split ends.sephora, ulta and target sell them.use heat protection spray before you straighten it.i read reviews before i buy a new one.ive heard pretty good thing about bed head, sedu and GHD

  • Is it ok to use ceramic hair straightner twice a week or does it damage the hair?

if it does damage the hair what is the minmum time i should keep between every use??

thanks,,Is it ok to use ceramic hair straightner twice a week or does it damage the hair?
It will damage the hair no matter how infrequently you use it. There's several products on the market which claim to protect hair from the heat of hairdryers / tongs / straighteners, etc, so maybe you should invest in one of those. Is it ok to use ceramic hair straightner twice a week or does it damage the hair?
no matter how often u use it ur hair will B fried, but 2x a week shouldn't hurt it that bad as long as u use pantene pro-v hair repair shampoo and conditioner
as long as you use protective cream its fine:D

usualy i only use then on my bangs though but my hairs naturaly straight
i dont think that will damage your hair...i use a ceramic hair straightener at least twice a week if not more...it hasnt done anything to my hair...so best of luck to you with yours!!
It damages your hair no mateer what. i stopped using mine all together because it fried it so bad.
It does damage your hair but Dove recostructing shampoo helps your hair to recover.
It will damange your hair no matter what.

I use mine almost everyday, but I aslo use straightening cream from Thermasilk, and I use shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair.

Also, just let your hair air dry before you straigthen it, because that will reduce soo much damange in one day.
Well..it damges ur hair soon if ur hair is thin and if it is thick it will damage gradually..i used to use ceramic but it fries ur hair and takes up all the moisture from the hai leaving it dead..so i think u should think of other options to straighten ur hair..like i heard from my girl friend from nigeria that she had her hair straighten permanently in a prlous by applyin some cream..but its way better cuz her hair is still healthy

i have some Wahl ceramic ones. there really good. my hair is like a frizzy mess most of the time. DON'T get GHD's they burn your hair to a crisp. hope this helps. xx
Andis works perfectly, and I've gone through many, because my hair is terribly curly/wavy.

It heats up in about 30 seconds.

    And it's only $15 where I bought it, which was a Wal-mart.

I hope it helps you .Best ceramic hair straightener?
i've heard chi is a great brand

but i've got a sedu which works really well too!

on the cheaper (but still sort of expensive) side, hot tools is ok too i think (i used to have one but it wasnt my favorite)

i think my friend has a revlon which works pretty good for her

I suppose it depends on what type of hair you have!
deffinately get a chi because they work the best but do not and i repaet DO NOT use it every single day becase then your hair gets really dead and frizzy.it just looks like a fried mess.
CHI is definately top of the line, but comes at a top of the line price. I had a herstyler beffore my CHI and it worked very well too, at about half the price.
    definitley Chi
CHI.... I use it an L-O-V-E it!!!!!!!
def not CHI its too overrated first off...second off its doesnt do its job as fast as u want it n kills ur ends

    Question about ceramic hair straightners?

Are they actually better on your hair than normal hair straightners?

Someone told me that they dont damage your hair..im thinking that has to be bs.

Helpp thxxx lovess %26lt;3Question about ceramic hair straightners?
They are definitely better for your hair.

They have a certain way of working the ions created from the heat and your hair that even I don't understand.

Make sure you use some anti-frizz, straightening balm, or shine spray BEFORE you straighten your hair to protect it from the heat damage.Question about ceramic hair straightners?
I have heard that they do not damage your hair as much. But any heat appliance is not good for your hair. I suggest using a heat protection spray and limiting your use of the straightener.
i think they do less damage.but they still do some damage.

  • Do ceramic hair straighteners damage your hair?

All hair straighteners damage your hair, but ceramic is not as bad.Do ceramic hair straighteners damage your hair?
    They all do.

Flat irons, curling irons, hair dryers, they all damage your hair.

Using a proper heat protectant spray/serum will help minimize damage while using these styling tools.Do ceramic hair straighteners damage your hair?
Basic rule of thumb. Any heat of any kind will damage the hair shaft. Heat couple with a pulling motion is even worse. So, ceramic or not, it hurts the hair. But it looks pretty:)
they all damage your hair. Straightening your hair is like burning it. Get some straightening gel or spray to put in your hair before you straighten. But ceramic is okay
yes but not as much you should still use heat protectent

Why are ceramic hair irons better than steel?

IT heats evenly and that is so so so much better and it dont cool down in some spots like metal and yes it decreses the static elec. And it will fuss your dead ends insted of burnning themWhy are ceramic hair irons better than steel?
um new technologyWhy are ceramic hair irons better than steel?
it is a very poor conductor of heat!
they dont fry your hair, and they can get hotter
    less damaging to your hair
Because they can get hotter I think.
The heat is held at a better level without skipp's on the flat plate. There's no HOT spots.
Ceramic hair irons heat up faster and they are safer. Steel has a tendency to burn you hair and take longer to heat up.
ceramic stratners have a spechaeal coating so you dont burn your hair like you do with steel stratners
I have a ceramic hair iron and let me tell you it is the best thing, specially if you iron you hair a lot, not only does it not damage your hair as much as an steel but it also heat up fast and you don't have to go through it over and over again but the one thing you have to be careful with when buying one is to make sure that it is not ceramic plated because the ceramic plated ones work the exact same way the steel ones do!

Which is better? A titanium or ceramic hair Straightener?

just wanted to know.Which is better? A titanium or ceramic hair Straightener?
Ceramic flat irons are powerful tools for making hair perfectly straight and smooth. Ceramic tends to be much better than other flat iron surfaces, such as gold-plated metal or chrome. Ceramic is the preferred material for flat irons because its surface does not tug, catch, or pull on hair. Therefore, there is less breakage and hair damage than with other types of flat iron surfaces.

Ceramic flat irons are also desirable because their surface area can become uniformly hot. Other metal flat irons may have some surfaces that heat up faster than others. The even, high heat that is provided by ceramic flat irons allows for hair that is sleek and stick-straight in appearance. Even permed or naturally curly hair can be made completely straight with the right ceramic flat iron.Which is better? A titanium or ceramic hair Straightener?
ceramic it works on my hair it can work on anybodys
    CERAMIC

THE PLATES STAY HOTTER, MAKES YOUR SHINNY, AND THEY LAST LONGER
    Titanium = bad.

    Ceramic = good.

Tourmaline = better. (Try the Solia!)
Ceramic holds heat better and doesn't damage the hair as much.
    Ceramic
I have a ceramic hair straightener and it works perfectly and I have very curly hair. :P

Also don't bother buying a straightener under 200 they're crap and not worth the money, your best bet is to purchase one from a salon. It's worth it believe me!
    I think it's ceramic :)
titanium!! DEFINITELY. thats what i use haha.
Ceramic...it prevents frizz. Try the CHI, it works miracles. You can also try Hardcore.
    ceramic for sure
neither, both damage your hair in the long run!(i should know i'm a hairdresser)!! but if you absolutly need 1 then ceramic is better.

Ionic or Ceramic Hair Dryers? Which one should I purchase?

I am going to purchase a new hair dryer hopefully coming with a diffuser attatchment. I don't know if I should buy a Ion or a Ceramic one, what's the difference? I want one that'll control my frizzy hair!Ionic or Ceramic Hair Dryers? Which one should I purchase?
    Definitely an ionic dryer.

A diffuser will make your hair puffy and more likely to frizz.

I'm not sure what the difference between the two are, except that I think ceramic is more expensive. Not sure on that one though, sorry...

It's best to let your hair air dry if it frizzes, and the product you use is the key!

Try Citre Shine Anti-Frizz Gloss serum - you can buy this at Wal-mart or anywhere like that. Also, Flat Out by KMS (which is a salon product, you can get from Ulta, JCPenney salon, places like that), is a great product. Follow the instructions on both of these because you don't want to use too much.Ionic or Ceramic Hair Dryers? Which one should I purchase?

  • Is the Ceramic Hair Straightner by Conair good?

Has anyone ever used the new Ceramic Hair Straightener by Conair? I've had many straighteners but they all make my hair frizzy and dry....is this one worth it?Is the Ceramic Hair Straightner by Conair good?
it depends on your hair type. most stores will let you try the straightner and if you are disatified you can return it. You could also ask your hairdresser what they recommend for your type of hair. I am sure it will work fine. Remember to buy a flat iron defrizzant which help protect your hair from slit ends. I use the one from GOT2B. hope this helps! Is the Ceramic Hair Straightner by Conair good?
i do have one from conair but i dont know the name for it thought but mine was really good and never gave me frizzy hair dryed up hair ever bought mine at duade reade
a straightner alone will make your hair fuzzy and dry no matter what kind, try using a polish or a good straightning cream. frizz ease works well.
No Conair is a cheap straightener, hence the word ';Con';. Get something at least $50+. I have a Sedu Tourmaline Straightener and it works really good, and I hear CHI's are kick @$$. But anyways, try to get something along those lines for best results.
I have a Ceramic Straightener by Conair and it is wonderful. I've bought quite a few and this one is by far my favorite. It doesn't leave my hair dry or frizzy, and it isn't that expensive.
My favorite straightner is the Chi, i have frizzy, curly/wavy hair and it straightens it makes it smooth without frizz
I do not know that is a very cruel question I am going bald. Actually i bought one for my Daughter she like it but I think you have to use some kind of straighting solution with it to keep your hair from frizzing
i have a conair and it has a turbo button which makes it get really hot, but it doesn't make your hair dry or frizzy. it makes it soft and shiny (not like oily shiny though). it is only like $15 too. i really think you should get it
Uhhh, there is quite a few that are ceramic so im not quite sure what you're talking about could you add a picture? But the one i use is quite good,it works good for most hair.
Any Conair products are crap. Use Different brands that are all little bit more expensive like the ones in salons.

What is the best ceramic hair iron out there?

something that is idiot-proof, won't burn me while i use it and straightens hair beautifullyWhat is the best ceramic hair iron out there?
SEDU! It has a thermostat that allows you to adjust the temperature! It may be a little pricy but it is worth the $What is the best ceramic hair iron out there?

(Black women preferably, but anyone can)does using a ceramic hair straightner really straighten black hair?

I currently have my hair braided. whenever i take out my braids, i don't relax my hair. because of this my hair is really curly and thick, it's not kinky though. i want to straighten it because it will be much easier to comb and wash. i'm 13 y.o. and my mom thinks that if i use a curling iron too much, i'll damage my hair. i agree. we heard that the ceramic straightener doesn't do damage to the hair. is this true? have you used it before?(Black women preferably, but anyone can)does using a ceramic hair straightner really straighten black hair?
Ceramic flat irons don't damage your hair if you use them within reason (i.e., not every day, not on wet hair, not on already damaged hair). They can straighten any hair type if you do it properly.(Black women preferably, but anyone can)does using a ceramic hair straightner really straighten black hair?
I relax my hair but a ceramic hair straightener does really straighten mine. I love my hair straightened.
you should perm your hair it helps alot.....the ceramic straightener doens't really work on my hair because I have thick hair, but when I perm it, it goes down.

I heard that Infinity by Conair Professional Heat Solid Ceramic Hair Straightener?

Works really good! I dont know i really need a new hair straightner. Do u think it works good? I dont want to spend alot of money like $200 on a hair straightner!I heard that Infinity by Conair Professional Heat Solid Ceramic Hair Straightener?
I use to own it but I returned it because it didn't really work on my thick wavy frizzy poofy hair The results I got was poofy straight hair and it had started to snag and tug my hair on the corners of the plates I bought a Solia from folica.com and it was $88 and sh and tax was free.

Another bad thing was that it was heavy I don't care what anyone says after a while of straightening it does get heavy and Solia is so light try to get a professional one.

I'm not telling you to get a Solia or pushing a Chi on you like other people do but Conair really isn't that goodI heard that Infinity by Conair Professional Heat Solid Ceramic Hair Straightener?
NO! it is no were as good as the CHI hair stragitener, It dies in about a year and all it does is straigten your hair. CHI Straightens your hair and makes it softer and shiner. Also its less expenceive its only $150 but sometimes you can find it for only $100. It is a professinal straightener so in canada it is only for professinal use. =]

Phi Ionic Flat Iron Ceramic Hair Straightener?

Anyone has this and does it work well?Phi Ionic Flat Iron Ceramic Hair Straightener?
my best friend has it and she likes it better than the maxi glide - maxius brand. I have tried the Maxi glide and it is a top notch product. But she says the Chi is better. Makes her hair softer.Phi Ionic Flat Iron Ceramic Hair Straightener?
    do you mean Chi?

that one works really good. but i dunno about phi.

Are ceramic hair straightiners better for your hair rather than, well not ceramic?

Yes they are, they have a more even heat and tend to not damage the hair as much. also it eliminates frizz and makes the hair more shiny.

One tip, get the kind with the rounded edges.

It will not leave creases in your hair and you can also use it to flip the ends in or out. If you plan on using it a lot, get a professional one from a salon or beauty supply store, they last ten times as long as cheap store bought ones. Are ceramic hair straightiners better for your hair rather than, well not ceramic?
definitely. they don't snag or electrify your hair (aka make it all static). Though they usually range about 50% more expensive, ceramic straighteners keep your hair healthy and shiny without over-frying it. The only reason all straighteners aren't ceramic is the expense, but it is well worth it: my Han Ceramic straightens better than any one i know, and it goes up to 400 degrees! Are ceramic hair straightiners better for your hair rather than, well not ceramic?
YES. They are so much better then non-ceramic straighters
Yes because they just transfer the heat to you hair rather than burning it. They, of course, still damage your hair a little, but not at ALL as much as metal, or fake ceramic.
YES! i have a Chi flat iron (which is ceramic), and it works wonders. Haha

it doesn't seem to dry out my hair and it heats up in literally seconds. i strongly suggest this! adios
Yea ceramic irons wont damage or pull your hair. They make your hair shinier and healthier too!
    YES
yes because they don't damage it as much but its pretty hyped up. I've used ceramic ones that are really crappy, just depends on the brand. Apparantly Chi is amazing...I use Helen of Troy and I have no complaints.
yes they dont dry out your hair as fast
