Ceramic hair irons heat up faster and they are safer. Steel has a tendency to burn you hair and take longer to heat up.
ceramic stratners have a spechaeal coating so you dont burn your hair like you do with steel stratners
I have a ceramic hair iron and let me tell you it is the best thing, specially if you iron you hair a lot, not only does it not damage your hair as much as an steel but it also heat up fast and you don't have to go through it over and over again but the one thing you have to be careful with when buying one is to make sure that it is not ceramic plated because the ceramic plated ones work the exact same way the steel ones do!
