My Ceramic hair iron got wet.. it wont work anymore.. any suggestions?

My conair ceramic hair iron accidentally got wet.. Now, even if i turn it on for 45 minutes, it wont emit heat anymore. What's wrong and how can i fix it???

Dear either opt for a new one or else check from where you bought it about guarantee. Or else put in the sun or somewhere hot to dry.

exchange it for a new one...if u got it at a salon, or sally's, then it should be no problem to exchange....


if u got it at walmart or something ....u can stilll try to exchange but it might be more difficult....as along as u still have the receipt...if not....then uh learn to never throw away receipts for expensive hair straightners...lol


or u could send it bak to the company....%26amp; hope for reinburstment...

Yeah go it is called a short and go buy a new one
let is dry real good for a few days and then give it a go.





I put my keyboard in the shower to clean it and let it dry for a few days and it works fine.

Leave it alone %26amp; let it dry out for a week. It may work after all the internal connections have dried out.
If it got wet while it was on then your unit has a very high probability that it is deffective. If it got wet while it was unplugged, dry the unit very well under the sun for a day or use a hair dryer and blow hot air for 10 minutes. Letg it cool down and try it again.
