I heard since it's ionic, its not bad for your hair, it leaves the moisture in, and it's good for your hair.
Is that true? Are ceramic hair straightners bad or good for your hair?
NO hair straightener is GOOD for your hair....the fact is that the all do some damage to the hair...some more than others....
Ceramic straighteners are supposedly better than the others currently available because they heat up and straighten the hair quickly to reduce the amount of time the heat is on your hair.
Leaving in moisture in the hair is another extreme since heat removes moisture.
The point is that Ceramic hair straighteners are NOT Good for the hair....they are simply LESS Bad than most other straighteners..
Your hair would rather be left aloneAre ceramic hair straightners bad or good for your hair?
Any heat like that isn't going to be GOOD for your hair. BUT a ceramic is definitely better for your hair than one that's not.
Any kind of heat put directly on the hair is harmful. I think your question is, which is LESS harmful. Yes, ceramic is pretty darn good. It also gives off a nice shine. Have fun.
They are not bad for your hair if you put a product that protects your hair. I have a CHI too if you go to a place that sells hair products they have a product specifically made for the CHI. it is in a red bottle and it sprays on your hair.
I love my ceramic straightener. My hair stylish uses a ceramic iron on my hair as well. The ionic ones are suppose to be better for your hair as you mentioned in your question above but they are also a bit more expensive. I just recently started using an ionic one. I do believe it's better.
Ceramic just means the plates that heat up are harder. It has never really bothered my hair.
Ionic is just little molecules that get energized when you heat it up that keep your hair from getting frizzy.
Just be sure to put alot of condioner in your hair before you straighten.
