Can I use a ceramic hair curler on damp hair?

I've only ever used it on dry hair but I'm in a rush and don't have time. Some advertised on the web are okay for wet hair, but as a rule, do you think it will matter?Can I use a ceramic hair curler on damp hair?

I have a ghd and use it on damp hair all the time, only takes slightly longer but still works!
