Ghd hair straightener or maxiglide hair straightener??? HELPP?

ok, i have REALLY CURLY AND REALLY THICK HAIR!!

i have tried so many straighteners and i have also gotten my hair chemically straightend twice. it didnt work one bit.

i am interested in the ghd straighteners and the maxiglide straighteners.

i have heard that the maxi glide is a really good straightener and i have heard it really sucks. well from what i saw on the tv i was amazed two of those girls had curlyer hair then me and their hair was like board straight!

and i have also heard good things about the ghd straightener and bad things also. i dont like how thin it is like it seems like it would take way too long to straighten. and i have heard you can only straighten it up to two times a week? because if you do it more than that it is possible it can damage your hair.

i dont know what to do! please help me!

asap!

thanks

Ghd's are amazing!! You only need to staighten your hair once, which would normally last you a day or two, because the heat strenght is good, you don't have to go over and over your hair, which avoids extra damage!

Im not sure about the maxi glide, but whatever you see on t.v adverts is rarely ever true!! Those two models probly had a 101 things done to their hair before hand!

Good Luck =)

MAXIGLIDE should be your choice.

I have it but i dont use it anymore because i cut my hair to shoulder length and maxiglide is more practical for long/ thick hair becasue of its steem system and combing technique whil straightening, remember though that like with any other straighener it takes lots of time and patience to straighten any type of hair!

get your hair PERMANITLY straightened it takes a while but it is worth it.

i have think and wavy hair and i just bought a really good straightener at sephora that i got 90 dollars off so i only payed 35 and it works really good but its simple small and flat and just intended for think hair.
GHD DEFINITELY!!

when you straighten your hair, go over a few times and it will last longer.

do in in thin layers and you might get better results.

try the ghd, they have just came out with a new one.

its beyond cool! and i am sure it will work for you.

new and improved.

GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE IT WORKS XOX
I would go for the Maxi Glide. Like you I had my doubts before buying it, but then I found this site:

Hey

i have not reli heard about maxiglide straightners

nd it reli helped me a lot

You onli need to straighten ur hair twice because ur hair

will straighten for a long time it saves electricty too !
I haven't heard about those but I do have the same hair and I use a cricket flat iron. It works so good, even if my hair is damp and it takes about 10-15 min to straighten all of my hair.
From personal experience, I think the Maxiglide is a life saver. I cannot live without it. When I saw the infomercial, I was amazed and told my fiance about it...he watched it too and bought me one from Bed Bath and Beyond. I'll tell you, I've never had my hair look so good unless I went to the salon. I have curly wavy hair and when ever I used the blow dryer, it never looked good. Well maybe for a few minutes but as soon as I stepped outside it would turn into a ball of frizz no matter how long I dried it. I was always self conscience. Now all I do is let my hair air dry until its almost dry and then I use the Maxiglide. My hair comes out pin straight and shiny too. It is amazing how much money I've saved. It costs at least 45.00 to straighten my hair and if the weather is bad forget about it - my hair wouldn't last 2 days so its like a waist of money for me. Some times I wear my hair curly when I have no time to straighten it and then the next day, I use the maxiglide to straighten the curls out and its comes out great. I have two - one for back up : )

What I recommend is to start from the bottom - and do it in sections using those big clips they use in the salon - that way it looks professionally done and every section of your hair has been touched with the maxiglide. Also it has a button that releases steam when you press it so be careful because it is very hot. The steam is what makes it shiny and pin straight. I have never had that affect with a regular flat iron.

I am a big fan of the maxiglide!!! If you decide to get one, I hope it helps you as much it helps me. It really gives you a shot of confidence when your hair looks good.
