How often do you buy a new hair straightener?

I use a CHI straightener and I am finding mine break often and I need to buy a new one every year. I have had three so far and need to buy another as it will stop heating up unless the cord is in a certain position. Is there a way to fix this? OK first lets start withe Ur brand u really want to buy a high quality straightener if u can iv had mine for five years and still love it try to go to a salon they have the best! next the one u have the reason its broken is because one of the wires inside the cord is disconnected and sorry but u cant fix it properly. anyways u will love a good straightener and iv found that if a really well designed straightener is used Ur hair stays perfect all day!:)





P.S.u probably broke it from twisting or playing with the cord so try to be more gentle next time
i used to buy a new one every month, but now i have a chi and ive been using it for a year and it still works like new
Pretty much every 3 hours.
Well, I've had mine for about 10 years, yeah, that's right, 10 years. If you get a Gold'n'Hot one they last that long. My friends, on the other hand, get a new one about every year.
When you notice that it isn't straitening your hair as well as it used to, warranties are good to.
